SISAT has been officially added as an inaugural member of the HIMSS  Southern California Academic Alliance.  HIMSS is the largest professional health IT organization in the nation with over 20,000 members and hundreds of corporate partners.  This newly formed Academic Alliance within the Southern California chapter is designed to “bridge the gap” between researchers and practitioners.

Accreditation of the Master’s in Health Information Management (MHIM) is a fact! Our School of Information Systems and Technology is the first and only school in the Southwest to have received approval from the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Health Information Management Education (CAHIIM) for its MHIM program. CAHIIM is the accrediting commission established in 2004 by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) designed to identify and maintain minimal education standards for health informatics and health information management programs. (AHIMA members contact Matt Hutter for tuition assistance programs)

Release Note: PixTalk Express, will be ready for release in June. PixTalk Express will provide 30 images as part of its installation package, thereby facilitating the installation process significantly.

Usage Note: Testing of PixTalk has started in several clinics and schools. We are very excited to report it is being used as intended (part of PECS) and with much success!  Download.

PixTalk, communication software for children with autism as been released at www.communicationautism.com. This first release has been developed for an tested on ASUS Pocket PCs (MyPall A730).
