She speaks of the political agenda of CTA. Elected president of Orange Unified Education Association in 1966. Discusses two factions in National Education Association: urban area in favor of advocacy and collective bargaining; rural areas in favor not in favor. This interview focuses on the current view of the Santa Ana School District, the political atmosphere of Santa Ana through the eyes of the sitting president of the school board. It also deals with the position of a minority woman in Orange County, California politics. School District statistics are included.

Elected to California Teachers Association State Council. Helped form Women’s Caucus of California Teachers Association and to revitalize the Asian Caucus. Founder of Pacific Asian Women Bay Area Coalition. In 1990 selected by National Education Association to attend the World Conference of Organization of Teaching Professions [WCOTP].
