Dean E. McHenry, Jr. is a Professor of Political Science in the Department of Politics and Policy, School of Politics and Economics at Claremont Graduate University. His field of specialization is comparative politics, with an area emphasis on Africa and research interests in the plight of socialism, separatist/new state movements, the politics of ethnicity and nationalism, and the process of democratization in the Third World.

He specializes in Indian state and society, state and society in Kerala ; and human rights.

Dr. Jean Reith Schroedel

Jean Reith Schroedel spent two years as an assistant professor at Yale University prior to accepting an appointment at CGU in 1991. In 1995 she was promoted to an associate professor with tenure and in 2001 was promoted to full professor in the Department of Politics and Policy. She also serves as the Director of the Applied Women’s Studies Program. Her research and teaching interests encompass a wide range of topics; most of which are linked together by a common thread—to what extent are the concerns of traditionally under-represented groups addressed by the political system within the United States.

Mr. Hemachandran Nair

Hemachandran Nair graduated from Kerala University with a degree in Chemistry in 1984. He also received a degree in Library & Information Science from Aligarh Muslim University.
He is a post graduate in Information Science from Kerala University. In 1986 he worked at a Research Library and later at a College Library as a Librarian. In 1993 came to the Kerala University Library and has been working as a Technical Assistant. During his service at the University, he has undergone training on application of computers in Library & Information work. He is currently studying as a part time Research Student for the Ph.D. from Calicut University.
